One (of the two) sacraments of the Protestant church. Persons
taking part in the ritual are accepted into the community of faith, the whole
Christian church. The personal commitment is to take on the life, death, and resurrection (symbolically) of Christ. Protestantism uses both believer's and infant baptism. |
