Not in the common useage of goody and sweet. But that "god is and wills justice and love". God is on the side of the weak, powerless, oppressed, poor. God's demands are that we do justice, love others, are merciful, etc. according to the Old Testament. The New Testament often means salvation and life offered to us by God which frees us to do justice, to love others. God commands our righteousness as a response to lovingkindness which is ours only from God. |
